Music Therapy and Education WordPress
Beat Memo: I plan to specifically hone in on music in health advances, such as music therapy, and music in educational institutions as an academic supplementary subject, major, and as an actual curriculum for taking on a musical instrument. Coverage in either area are lackluster in local publications, but the stakes of music in education and in health advances are higher than they’ll ever be. Boston’s prominent trend of normalizing and encouraging participation in music therapy and music education is widespread, as local organizations like the Community Music Center of Boston and the Boston Center for Multicultural Music Therapy are being established. As music grows as a mode of healing and as supplementary mode of education, especially in the greater Boston area, the news of music branching into other facets must be reported on.

Translucent Multimedia Interview Series
"Translucent" is a multimedia introspective gallery featuring vulnerable testimonies from young adults across varying racial backgrounds and body types. The testimonies exhibit each subject's experience with their body image and insecurities.

The aim of this project is to emphasize the significance of open discussions on body image and insecurities. Being vulnerable and addressing difficult subjects such as these will further normalize the acknowledgement of hindrances in growth and self-confidence. Essentially, in publishing these testimonies, I hope they help you realize you aren't alone.
